This is a guest post by Michael Westrich, a member of GTUG Munich:
Last Monday evening, 30 interested people met in the Google cafeteria to get something
about HTML5 and Google Chrome Extensions to listen.
After Nils heat kept a short introduction and opens up the buffet had started the Googlers who traveled from California with his Kurrik Arne Roomann-HTML5 idea. He präsetierte
with the help of a presentation made with HTML5 Google Chrome extension, what with HTML5 is all new and old beautiful possible.
then said Stephan Seidt 9elements about his project. It was implemented with HTML5 and a small server implementation. The result is an impressive website with flying circles that pulsate to the beat of the music. Clicking on a circle, displays a message on Twitter "HTML5" and "love".
Finally put Arne Roomann-Kurrik clearly and logically, what is Google Chrome Extensions. It can also be explained by examples, how they work and integrate into the browser. He also elaborated on the programming and publication of extensions.
the overall successful presentation evening were a good hand full of listeners with end-Arne Roomann
Kurrik and Stephan Seidt in a nearby pub for beer and Techtalk.
some function for which they needed 20 lines of JavaScript code can be used to deal with HTML5 realized in 2 rows. I see a great opportunity many box design and think of
sites and browser applications and break new to allow this. But
first have to support all browser vendors HTML5.
Chrome extensions were nothing new for me, as even the Chrome Extensions Hackathon was an introduction to it. By presenting Arne Roomann-Kurrik me but were still so many things about the extension of clear, particularly as the various types of extension work and what function venues is through the extension API has. could
my opinion a great evening where I intended, and all other participants
gain new knowledge and experience and establish good contacts.
