Marshall McLuhan is one of the most influential media theorist of the 20th Century. His works are considered as basic as revolutionary viewed and discussed in media studies today. I admit I was a bit confused when I heard about 1378km . This is a computer game, developed by the student Jens Stober of the State University of Design in Karlsruhe. As the time commented in detail is it is a simulation in which the player can either take the perspective of a refugee wall and a shooter. The planned announcement for 3rd October, however, called forth such a large (and critical) media coverage that you chose that game to bring out at a later date. The University, whose rector, the renowned philosopher Peter Sloterdijk, has commented on the events in detail .

When I wanted to look at the weekend at studip , reflecting changes in the number of participants in our seminar, I am I admit honestly almost fell with surprise from the chair. So far, nearly 50 students have registered for the event.
Also on the weekend I received it a couple of mails, whether as is possible with this number of participants have a reasonably functioning. I can understand very well that the one or the other because some doubt and an impossible working environment fear. I think it's still wonderful that we are in the seminar work with so much creative potential. Let us not put off so. We will find a good way to work together. When good ideas and exciting work with 25 people is possible, then we'll win with 25 more. 50 ideas are better than 25!
I am looking forward to our first meeting and our cooperation.

Model kitchen is an exhibition project in 2007 founded the Forum for contemporary ceramics. The forum is the free association of women potters, the graduates of the University of Art and Design (Giebichenstein), in Halle an der Saale to live and work. With the forum they have created a platform for internal self-understanding, but above all a publicity platform for the presentation and discussion of current topics and issues of artistic ceramics. In the exhibition catalog writes Renate Luckner-Bien: "The central theme model kitchen Ute Brade, Imke Freiberg, Ina Jaenicke, Claudia Kline, Miriam Littmann, Ute Lohse, Marie-Luise Meyer, Judith Runge and Antje Scharfe the fact that ceramics - to quote Kishon - with the 'second most beautiful thing in the world', has to do with food. In the family context, the kitchen still the nurturing, warmth-giving and community-building site. Here is the fire, through the clay and china have so this can become ceramics. But this kitchen is not cooking. The patterns are of no practical value. "

I am making a call to all guys interested in working on a showcase project
involving GAE, GWT, Android, Chrome and FireFox Extensions.
The idea would be to meet at Cafe-Netzwerk and hack
a Fahrplan/Abfahrtmonitor client for Android, Chrome or FireFox browser,
using a common service layer on AppEngine.
I am personally not familiar with the Gadgets development, but if someone
wants to focus on it as a client, then we could include it too.
We have decided to have the first session already tomorrow 16th of June at Café
network and get the project rolling. I like to use Wave
for collaborative documenting, but since not everyone is using Wave I shall post it on

So let's get tomorrow at Café network (I will be there already
around 1700 discussing / hacking with some friends). Great chance to get in gear for the forthcoming
droidcon in Stuttgart on Friday.

(Julio Paz Amor por las nubes, 1982) The etchings of the 1939 born in Buenos Aires artist Julio Paz speak of great experimentation, of uncommon ingenuity and sovereignty in the use of technical means. They show heroes of sport and entertainment, lovers, sex workers, bureaucrats and artists, and are sometimes of biting sarcasm. His motives are rooted in the social and political reality of his native Argentina, also help even after he literally could flee at the last moment in 1976, together with his wife, Clara, from the military junta to Milan. From there he has made several trips to Berlin. Particularly the impressions from the eastern part of the city inspired him to create new works.
His paintings and prints hung in museums and galleries in Berlin, London, Madrid, New York, Prague and Tokyo. Many works are in public ownership. For his unusual etchings, he received numerous awards and honors. Opened in 1992 by Mara Moya »Café Paz" in Berlin-Mitte he wore in honor of that name. Julio Paz died in early 2010 in Milan. The Gallery Forum Amalienpark he devotes an exhibition together with photographer Peter Burkhard.

Like Julio Paz is also Burkhard Peter the man at the center of artistic interest. For the image series "frontier" and "Woodstock", which can be seen in the exhibition, he found his designs on the German and Polish side of the Oder, at carnivals, music festivals on village streets and suburbs. These people do not belong predominantly to the "center" of society, but rather to the losers, marginalized, or even the misfits. Their eyes on the viewer are serious, hesitantly, asking to become disillusioned, they have an impression of melancholy, loneliness and resignation. Peter Burke shows people on a factual, not denunciatory still romanticized nature, full of sympathy and concern.

The artist Hans-Hendrik Grimm
Ling, born in 1947 in Zwenkau in Leipzig, studied painting at the 1969 Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, then at the School of Visual Arts Leipzig. Last Monday evening, 30 interested people met in the Google cafeteria to get something
about HTML5 and Google Chrome Extensions to listen.

" My dreams are black and white "
In the period from 10.04. until 08.05.2010 shows Hans-Hendrik Grimmling under the title of the places in between, "a selection his paintings. His paintings give timeless metaphors.
